IGNOU Library course Admission 2025 will go on till a deadline of 31 January 2025. IGNOU January 2025 session has been started for the Online CLIS program in both online and offline modes. IGNOU CLIS Admission 2024 last date is 31 January 2025, as per the latest admission notifications released by the university. Students whose 12th class has been completed from a recognized educational board are considered eligible for IGNOU’s CLIS program (offered in Online mode of distance learning education). Students can apply online to this certificate program, as the application forms are released by IGNOU at its official web portal – @ignou.ac.in.

The registration fee of IGNOU’s Online CLIS program is INR 300. An enrolled student will have to complete this course in a duration of 6 months. To complete the course and get its degree on time, candidates will have to submit their IGNOU Online CLIS Assignments on time and score good marks in all the TEEs conducted by the university.

The Certificate in Library and Information Science is a 6-months course that is offered by IGNOU via its online mode. Students can pursue this course completely on the basis of merit without appearing in any entrance tests. Document Processing and Organisation and Information Sources and Library Services, along with others are some of the subjects included in the IGNOU Online CLIS Course Curriculum.

This open university follows a credit-based system for the Online CLIS program, which means all the subjects of this program will have some number of credits attributed to them, based on whether the subject is a major or minor one. IGNOU CLIS course Fees is INR 3,000 which a student will have to pay at once during the time of their admission. 

IGNOU Online CLIS Application Form 2025-26: How to Apply

Step 1: Start by making a visit to IGNOU’s official website by typing @ignou.ac.in in Google. 

Step 2: Find and click on the “Apply for Online programs” option available at the bottom of the official website. 

Step 3: Read all the instructions for filling out the application form consciously.

Step 4: Create a DEB-ID if you don’t have one already. This ID is required further in the Online CLIS registration process.

Step 5: Proceed ahead by clicking on “Click here for new registration”.

Step 6: Now, students will have to provide their full names, email addresses, and other details as required by IGNOU.

Step 7: Create a login ID for yourself consisting of 8 to 16 characters of username and password.

Step 8: Log into the IGNOU Admission 2024 web portal with the same credential created by you in the earlier step.

Step 9: The online application form for Online CLIS program will appear on the screen. Candidates will now have to enter all the asked details in each section of the application form.

Step 10: Provide your personal and educational details that include your category, your family income, the board and score of your 12th class, your residential address, and others.

Step 11: Upload all the required documents in the correct size and format. 

Step 12: Pay the application fee of INR 300 and click on “Submit”.

Step 13: After submission of the Online CLIS application form, download or keep a screenshot of the page.
