IGNOU MSc Admission 2025-26: Master’s of Science (MSc) is a post graduate program that is offered by IGNOU in distance mode approved by DEB & UGC. This course covers various specializations of science such as Biology, physics, Environmental science, Food & Nutrition, Hospitality Administration, Mathematics, and so on. It is a 2 year program divided into 4 semesters. 

Students who have graduated with B.SC or any equivalent from a recognized university with 50 to 60% marks can apply to this course. Admission for M.Sc course at IGNOU is about to begin from the last week of December 2024 and the last date to apply is 31 January 2025*. IGNOU MSc Admission 2025-26:

Students who are seeking admission in M.SC course distance education should apply in IGNOU by the last date of 31 January 2025*. You can find the registration form on the university’s web portal @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, and the application fee is Rs. 300/-. 

To be eligible for this course you are required to achieve a bachelor’s in equivalent and preferable B.SC course with at least 50% aggregate marks. Also, the admission to this course completely depends on your previous marks without any entrance test. Meanwhile, for admission confirmation you need to pay the admission fee, which is INR 7,700/- per semester (per person). 

IGNOU MSc Eligibility Criteria: 

To complete eligibility requirements for the IGNOU M.SC course, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a UGC recognized university with at least 50% marks. For example; if applying for M.SC in chemistry or Mathematics, a Bachelor’s passing certificate in science is mandatory. Some specializations of M.SC course may need specific subjects or minimum percentage in your earlier qualifying degree. There is no age limit, so applicants of any age can apply for admission. Therefore, IGNOU does not conduct any entrance test for M.SC course admission. Anyhow, interested students can apply for this course form the end of December 2024 and the application submission last date is 31 January 2025*. 

IGNOU MSc Application Process 2025-26: How to Apply

The application process for IGNOU’s M.SC program for 2025-26 is simple and can be completed online. Here’s how to apply:-

Step 1: Visit the Official Online Portal of IGNOU

Step 2: You need to make an account with simple details like email-id and phone number.

Step 3: Then fill the Application Form by adding your personal, academic, and contact details. 

Step 4: By filling out the form you have to upload some required documents, such as certificates and Identity proof.

Step 5: After filling out all the details you have to pay an application fee with the secure payment gateway such as: Net banking, Debit, Credit or UPI. And, download the application payment receipt for admission reference.  

Step 6: Check all the added information and click on the submit option for registration. And, take the screenshot of successful submission for further process. 

Step 7: After submission,  you can track your application status on the university portal.
