IGNOU BPP Admission 2025-26: The Bachelor Preparatory Programme is a 6 months program that is offered at IGNOU in a flexible mode of distance learning. This program is offered to those students who want to pursue higher education but have not completed their higher secondary education. IGNOU’s BPP program makes the students eligible to pursue the university’s UG programs like BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, and others in their desired modes.

For the current IGNOU January 2025 session, the university has discontinued offering the BPP program. At the same time, students can apply for admission to other IGNOU’s courses for the ongoing session of January 2025. IGNOU Admission 2025 last date extended for its UG, PG, and other courses is 15 February 2025.

The 6 months- BPP program is offered at IGNOU in distance learning mode. This course is designed by the university for those types of students who want to pursue higher education but have not been able to complete their 10+2 and hence, are not eligible to pursue any UG program. IGNOU’s BPP program makes them eligible to pursue any UG course at the university by providing all the required intermediate-level education followed by providing them an intermediate-level equivalent certificate. Hence, at IGNOU, the BPP program can be known to be an equivalent of 12th class. As per the latest guidelines, IGNOU is no longer offering the BPP program.

Although, students can apply for other UG, Certificate, Diploma, PG, or PhD courses offered at the university in the ongoing session of January 2025. IGNOU January 2025 admissions will be open for all of its online and ODL courses till a deadline of 15 February 2025. IGNOU BPP Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Students must have comleted their 10th class from a valid board. 
• Indira Gandhi National Open University directly grants admission to students in its BPP course without oganizing any entrance exams.

IGNOU BPP Course Details 2025

The program of BPP is offered by Indira Gandhi National Open University in a duration of 6 months which can be extended to a maximum time frame of 2 years. As we know, all the UG courses at IGNOU require the applicants to complete their intermediate, only then will they be able to apply for the undergraduate program at this university. But, there are some students who have not completed their 10+2 and yet they want to complete their higher education as soon as they can. IGNOU’s Bachelor Preparatory Programme has been introduced to fulfill this very purpose.

Now, students can pursue the BPP program at this university and afterwards, easily apply to their desired UG program in ODL or Online mode. IGNOU BPP Admission fees is INR 1,000 which a student can pay through any payment methods. However, some people might have a question “Is BPP course available in IGNOU”. The answer to this question is “No”, as the university has stopped offering this program. 

IGNOU BPP Application Form 2025-26: How to Apply

Application process of IGNOU’s BPP program will require the candidates to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Open IGNOU’s official website – @ignou.ac.in. 

Step 2: Scroll down a little and you will be able to find an option of “Apply for ODL programs”. Click on it.

Step 3: Now, select the “Click here for new registration” option so that you can register for the university’s BPP program. 

Step 4: Provide your full name and ypur email address, create your login ID and password and with that, your IGNOU BPP Registration will be completed.

Step 5: Log into the admission portal to fill out the online application form with the login credential created by you earlier. 

Step 6: Proceed further into the application process by entering your personal details which includes your name, the board of your education, your aggregate scores, and others. 

Step 7: The next section of the BPP Application form will need you to upload your essential documents, such as your passport-size photograph, signature, 10th class certificate, etc. 

Step 8: Pay the IGNOU BPP registration fee of INR 300. 

Step 9: Click on the “submit” button after carefully reviewing all the information you have provided.

Step 10: Download your BPP application form for future use.
